    Parking & Traffic Info – Expect heavy traffic around Vermilion Regional

    Airport (Bowman, Poland, and West Newell). If you're heading to general parking, use West Newell from the west or Bowman from the north for smoother traffic flow. Arrive early, follow signs, and get ready for a great event!

    We are committed to ensuring that all guests have a comfortable and enjoyable experience at the Balloons Over Vermilion. Our event offers accessible parking and tethered balloon rides to accommodate patrons with mobility needs.

    Accessible Parking can be accessed through the main entrance of the Vermilion Regional Airport.

Directions: Balloons Over Vermilion takes place at the Vermilion Regional Airport and is conveniently located off of Bowman Avenue. Look for our signage and traffic attendants to guide you.

  • From I-74: Take Exit 215 (Bowman Ave). Head north on Bowman for about 5 miles until you reach the event entrance near Vermilion Regional Airport.

  • From N. Vermilion St. (IL-1): Turn onto West Newell Rd and head west for about 4 miles to reach the event entrance.
